October News!!!!!
As ever there are a million and one things happening within the club and behind the scenes as we continue to build something very special indeed!!!
• 1.5 Million Pound Mill Extension Update
Almost every day now I am in meeting with architects, building engineers, specialist pool contractors and equipment companies!… During the meetings plenty of ideas and suggestions are been fired at me and the big decision of the week was that the 7m by 4 m splash pool that will sit by the side of the main 25 meter in length swimming pool will now have the powerful jets for shoulder massages ( similar to the ones in the current Hydrotherapy Pool) .
I should be receiving in the next two weeks are design of the new extended Fire & Ice spa. Once the proposed mill extension is complete the extra space will allow us to include an ice Igloo, Ice plunge pool, 4 new monsoon showers, an extra sauna (supersized), a dry relaxation area and 10 more heated loungers. Once I receive the plan then of course I will share with you.
There are is no further news on the planning application apart from the ground test and flood plain assessments that are under way!
As part of the project the architect is speaking to the relevant authorities regards creating 35 plus car parking spaces at the front of the building.
I am currently speaking to two digital companies regards them designing a virtual tour of how the fab new world class facilities will look.
The architect is now drawing up the plans to extend the ladies changing room that will create the space for 5 extra new showers and a sauna.
• New Equipment
We are well the way of hitting our end of year target for a total of 475 pieces of equipment!!!
The £60k worth of new cardio equipment is now up and running and looking fab in the ladies only zone. A Stair Climber will also be added to this zone this month too.
This month will be receiving the delivery of a new battle rope for the Functional training zone Crunch Studio , 4 new Olympic bars for the sports performance centre and the fab new Versa Climber will arrive on the cardio floor.
The new two ab machines, cable cross over and functional training cable machine is scheduled to be delivered in November however I am pushing for this to be brought forward to this month.
• Hot Yoga Update!
The builders are in this next two weeks starting to insulate the new studio to ensure the temperature stays at its tip top condition of 40 degrees. I will look to release the times of the classes in the coming couple of weeks.. To confirm the classes will be included in the Gold £17.50 per month membership, plus there will be classes available to non-members at a cost of £12 per class.
• New Group Exercise Launch!
The design of the new timetable is well under way and looking Fab for the start on Monday 19th October. The new schedule will include an extra 30 plus classes per month taking the numbers to over 570 classes per month! There will be a minimum of 5 new instructors for variety while adding some exciting new options. Registered users will be emailed a copy of the timetable on Monday 12th October.
To coincide with the launch of the new timetable the Les Mills Interactive and Myride Cycle classes will also be launched at the same time.
