1.5 Mill Extension Update…
The big dig is well underway and with the history of the building we have been lucky enough to have not to come across any problems in the ground… The engineers have requested a 1.9-meter depth in the ground even though the pool is 1.2 meters deep so there is plenty of mud to dispose!!!!
We are currently 3 weeks ahead of schedule so definitely looking good for the grand extension opening in September of this year.
I am signing off designs and plans daily for the 22-meter pool, fire & ice spa extension, extra treatment rooms, super-sized ladies zone, new sports performance centre and refurbished and extended changing rooms! On top of the previously announced confirmations, I have also ordered a new extra steam room, the current caldrium will be turned into a salt inhalation room and for the new sports performance centre there will also be two added watt bikes…
I am expecting the dream works animation tour this month and of course will share with you to show you how the world class new facilities will look…
Just to confirm and clarify some points that I get asked daily!
· There will be NO price increases for existing members from the £12.99 Silver Or £17.50 Gold options
· There will be no or very little disruption to any of the existing facilities during the works!
· The swimming pool will be open from 5am-11am 7 days a week.. There will be no children allowed, no swimming lessons or aqua aerobics etc.
· The club 24-hour opening will remain in place and in fact will be extended to 7 days a week.
· The current crunch room will be turned into a traditional class studio which allows me to increase the class numbers to whopping 720 per month!!! (The current crunch equipment will be moved into the new sports performance centre)
New Equipment Ordered!
I am delighted to announce that I have ordered for May a delivery of a new Leg Press, Decline Chest Press and an Abdominal Crunch from the Hammer strength. These fab new additions will be located in the static weights room.

The super powerful air conditioning on the weights floor is now up and running and working very well!
CAR PARKING!!!!
As you are aware we have now started the building work as we create something very special.
We now strongly advise all members to park in the council car park based on Lawrence Street WHICH IS ONLY A 40 SECOND WALK AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

* Parking is free of charge before 10am & after 6pm also free all day Sunday
* By obtaining a voucher from the ticket machine you also receive an hour free anytime

Now planning permission has been granted to extend the mill we are now going to submit a separate application to drop the curb from one end of the building to the other to create 45 slanted car parking spaces….
