October News!!!!
I think it’s fair to say it’s currently a very very busy and exciting time for all of us associated with the Health Club & Spa… It really does feel like a whirlwind with so much happening daily during the middle of our two-million-pound expansion and improvements plan… As many of you are aware we have opened our very impressive new ladies only zone and we are currently in the process of applying the final cleaning to the floor in the awesome new sports performance centre with it set to open 3pm this Monday 10th October! Those who have tried the new areas have given some very positive feedback.
Its probably easier for me list everything that is scheduled to happen this month!
- We will receive delivery from Hammer Strength, an additional plate loaded chest press and an additional plate loaded Seated Row.
- We will receive delivery of the new stretch matts in the ladies only zone and additional dumbbells.
- The 4 punch bags, deadlifting blocks and chains for squatting are all set to arrive for the new sports performance centre.
- We will receive delivery of three individual My ride interactive cycle experiences. These awesome pieces of equipment allow you to choose from hundreds of different cycle classes or challenging course… These will be placed on the cardio floor.
- We will receive delivery of an additional stair climber and cross trainer for the cardio floor.
- The refurbishment work will continue on the former crunch studio now known as studio two with a suspended ceiling and speciality sound proof flooring installed… This area will also be decorated and the work to replace all the glass in the windows for natural light will be finished… Once complete the additional space will allow us to add an extra 70 classes per month and with the large amount of studio and functional training equipment on order for this area we will be able to keep the ethos of our many current classes and add many new exciting ones too.
- I have ordered new carpets for the cardio floor and static resistance area and a sound proof flooring for advanced trainer area. New suspended ceilings and lighting will also be installed in these areas.
- The back windows will be installed in the ladies only zone.
- Work is set to start on extending the relaxation chill out area in the exclusive day spa area. Please note this work is scheduled for night time and will cause no disruption or noise for spa guests.
- The builders are working extremely hard in creating the new high spec female changing area. The schedule is to complete this area this month at which point work will begin on the awesome new male changing area and then onto the extension of the world class fire & ice spa.
- The 22-meter swimming pool area is starting to take shape very nicely indeed. This month will see us starting decorative bits with the speciality lighting system installed and the tiling in and around the pool. This project is still scheduled to be complete by the end of November!
As you can see things are moving at a million miles per hour. As ever we are keeping all disruptions to a minimum and this will continue.
