£100K FIRE & ICE SPA REFURNISHMENT & NOTICE OF DISRUPTION
I am delighted to announce that we are set to refurbish large parts of our already fabulous fire & ice spa from July 15th. As part of our ambitious plans we will:
• Install a whole new ceiling throughout the spa including a themed feature ceiling above the original Hydrotherapy pool
• An upgrade to the fire & ice spa ventilation system to match the super system of the main swimming pool area. This will allow us to remove the glass door partition that separates the pool and Fire & Ice Spa area and make the area a more efficient open plan.
• A refurbishment and replacement of benches in 3 out of our 4 saunas along with external remedial repairs
• Redecoration of the surrounding area around the original Hydrotherapy Pool.
As part of the refurbishment the day spa will be closed for guests from the 15th July to the 30th July…. The majority off the works will be carried out at night however there will be disruptions in the Fire & Ice Spa with the original Hydrotherapy pool closed for the two weeks and at certain times each of the saunas will be closed as the benches are replaced. A SMALL LOSS FOR A VERY VERY BIG GAIN!!!!
£2 MILLION IMPROVEMENTS UPDATES!
As ever we are progressing well with our ongoing improvements programme this month as below:
• The whole buildings upgrade in hot water supply work will all be completed and commissioned by July 20th
• The male changing room extension to create additional changing space will be completed
• The swimming costume spin dryer will be installed in the male changing room
• The pendulum squat machine will arrive in the sports performance centre
• The soft plyometric boxes will arrive in studio 2
• We are expecting feedback on our planning application to create an additional entrance to the building with easier access. We are very hopeful of a successful application, if all ok then at the same time we will completely refurbish reception including moving the main reception desk and creating space for a separate day spa reception and small café area.
• Planning is well under way as we look to create a whole new floor in the mill that will include a new and additional group exercise studio and a new gym area for 80 pieces of equipment with a budget of £500K
CHANGE OF OPENING HOURS!
As we continue to grow we are have been monitoring all usage in the club and spa and it has found that on a Sunday night between the hours of 12am-5am there has been as little as 5 members using the facility.. The decision has now been taken that with the low numbers that from Sunday 7th July the club will now close at 11.30pm and will reopen on a Monday morning at 4.45am.. THE CLUB WILL RETAIN ITS 24 HOURS OPENING MONDAY TO FRIDAY!
