February News!!!
As ever this coming month we will continue with our aggressive improvements programme to ensure we can be the best we can be with the following scheduled:
• The installation of a new ceiling, lighting and ventilation in the main studio.
• The fitting of a new floor in the male changing rooms
• Th installation and fitting of 3 additional private changing cubicles and 3 more benches in the ladies changing room. The area will have an upgrade of disability facilities with new shower and toilet facilities.
• An additional front entrance to the building will be fitted. Once the new door is fitted then the work will start on the current front door access.
• The work will start on the pool side café. It will open in March serving hot & cold drinks.
• I am hoping to receive an update this month from the engineers on our £500k project to create an additional floor space in the mill loft space. The new areas will allow us to create an additional group exercise studio and also add an extra 80 pieces of fitness equipment.
• This month we will be launching the Les Mills interactive RPM and Sprint cycle classes to played through the 10m by 3m screen. A timetable will be emailed to registered users next week and will run alongside the already awesome live classes!
New Equipment…
To confirm that we have placed an order for 8 top of the range Hammer Strength squat racks and Olympic lifting platforms for the already fabulous sports performance centre. Delivery is scheduled for early April.
The 4 new additional watt bikes have now been installed along with the 5 replacement Concept 2 rowers on the cardio floor.
I am now at an advances stages of negotiations with two separate companies to upgrade and replace the cardio floor equipment with a budget of approx £120k… Whichever range I decide to go with will be the next level up from our treadmills, bikes, cross trainers and stair climbers and we will look to have delivered in the last week of May.
